The GAVÀ 2025 Youth Leisure Activity Leadership Course Has Begun!

At the Roma Women Association Drom Kotar Mestipen, we are launching a new edition of the Leisure Activity Leadership Course with 25 participants full of energy, enthusiasm, and eagerness to grow. Over the coming weeks, they will experience a comprehensive training program combining theory, practice, and mentorship with a strong intercultural and gender perspective.

Important: This course is officially accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya, meaning that the obtained certification is officially recognized and significantly enhances employability in the field of educational and sociocultural leisure.

What Will We Learn?

  • Educational leisure activity design: cooperative games, artistic activities, environmental education, and field outings.
  • Safety and well-being: group management, risk prevention, basic first aid, and child protection protocols.
  • Key competencies: leadership, inclusive communication, conflict resolution, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Community focus: identity, cultural diversity, and intercultural mediation for safer and more respectful spaces.
  • Planning and evaluation: how to prepare activity sheets, objectives, materials, schedules, and impact evaluations.

Program and Methodology

  • Experiential workshops and real-life simulations with role-playing.
  • Internships at organizations in Gavà and surrounding areas.
  • Personalized mentoring and team-based project work.
  • Official certification upon completion, accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya.

  • Job orientation: CV review, activity portfolio preparation, and interview coaching.
  • Recommendation letters and individual follow-up after training.
  • Additional training in digital skills (planning tools, communication, and material design).
