Activities

In this section you can find more information about the activities that are currently being carried out in Drom Kotar, as well as those that have already been carried out.

Dialogue cycles

WHAT ARE THEY?

Dialogue cycles are talks between Roma women that deal with a specific topic. In them, we explain the latest scientific evidence on the topics we want to discuss, allowing participants to deepen and acquire greater knowledge about them.

In order to carry them out, we count on the help of volunteers with expertise in the different topics.

HOW DID THEY ORIGINATE?

Dialogue cycles are a type of activity that we started to implement in 2021. The motivation for this activity arose from the need to go deeper into some of the topics that come up regularly when talking to the women participants, and which are important to discuss on the basis of scientific evidence and verified and contrasted information.

WHAT TOPICS ARE COVERED?

The topics discussed in the dialogue cycles are chosen by the women participants, depending on the concerns they have, or the topics they need more information on. Thus, they are always born out of the interests and needs of the participants.

Some of the topics discussed include the prevention of gender-based violence or ways of accessing higher education.
